# Private Static QR Code Generator

Version: 0.1.0
License: MIT for the JuzhenWork demo and wrapper; the bundled QR library is separately MIT-licensed.

Create QR codes for links, plain text, and Wi-Fi networks. Export a PNG for screens or an SVG for print. This is a static code generator: it does not create redirects, analytics, or expiring links.

## Run
Serve this folder over localhost or HTTPS (for example, `python -m http.server 8000`) and open `index.html`. ES modules are blocked by many browsers when opening a local file directly. No build, API key, or backend is required.

## Privacy and safety
QR contents are encoded in the current browser tab and are not uploaded. A Wi-Fi password is embedded in the downloadable QR image; anyone who scans or obtains that image may be able to join the network. Scan-test the finished code before printing.

## Limits
Payloads are limited to 2,000 UTF-8 bytes. Wi-Fi QR behavior varies among camera apps. Static codes cannot be edited after download, and a website encoded in a QR code can later move or go offline.

## Third-party code
The QR encoding engine is `qrcode-generator` v2.0.4 by Kazuhiko Arase, MIT licensed. Original source: https://github.com/kazuhikoarase/qrcode-generator. See `THIRD-PARTY-LICENSE.txt`.
