Practical guide

Generate a unique password in your browser

Choose a strong random password locally, understand length and character groups, and store it safely.

Use unique credentials

A password reused across sites can expose several accounts if one service is breached. Generate a separate random password for every login and store it in a trusted password manager.

Choose a practical length

Longer random passwords are harder to guess. This generator supports 8 to 128 characters and lets you choose lowercase letters, uppercase letters, numbers, and symbols. Keep the groups required by the service you are signing up for.

Generate and store safely

Open the Secure Password Generator, set the length, and choose character groups. Generate a result, then copy it directly into a password manager. Avoid sending passwords through chat or saving them in a shared document.

What the tool does not do

The generator uses your browser's Web Crypto API to produce random values. It does not upload, save, sync, or check passwords against breach lists. HTTPS is required by most browsers for cryptographic APIs. Protect the generated value after copying it and enable multifactor authentication where available.
